Self-Compassion, Mindfulness and Resilience: A Guide for Classroom
Teachers, Counselors, School Psychologists and Social Workers

 

This class is designed to help you understand and cultivate self-compassion, build resilience and inner resources, and re-energize yourself so you can “be your best” for your students and clients. In this workshop you will learn that the understanding and positive enhancement of the “compassionate self” will promote gratitude, resilience and a sense of physical, emotional and psychological wellbeing. You will learn specific
practices to help students develop the essential quality of self-compassion. Evidence now demonstrates that compassion is a skill that be developed through deliberate practice, and used to heal suffering (dukka), develop loving kindness (metta) and transform negative core beliefs about oneself and others. This interactive workshop brings together recent discoveries from neuroscience, cognitive science, mindfulness research and positive psychology to give to give you a wealth of applicable information and strategies to for your students and clients.
