Trauma, Attachment and Emotion Regulation: Effective Diagnostic

and Treatment Strategies for Helping Children and Adolescents

 

Trauma, attachment disorders, and emotion regulation concerns impact over four million children and adolescents each year. In this cutting-edge workshop, Michael S. Prokop, national “Trauma and PTSD” speaker for PESI seminars, will teach you the concepts and skills necessary to facilitate positive change with challenging students/clients with trauma and/or attachment wounds. You will learn effective assessment, behavioral and therapeutic techniques for children, adolescents, and adults, based on the latest research in interpersonal neurobiology, trauma and attachment therapy, and resilience.
After completing the workshop, you will be able to 1) define the psychological, social, cognitive and biological aspects of trauma and attachment disorder, 2) utilize effective individual and relationship-based assessment tools and intervention methods, 3) describe skill-based and experiential techniques to improve emotion dysregulation, core beliefs, brain wiring, PTSD symptoms and relationship patterns, 4) help resistant traumatized students achieve positive personal, academic and relationship goals and 5) help create secure and
fulfilling relationships by facilitating limbic resonance and attachment security and more!!
