Trauma: A Healing Guide for Classroom Teachers, Counselors,
Social Workers, and Psychologists

Over the last few years there has been a significant increase in anxiety, stress and trauma among children,

examined to help educators and caregivers experience and provide safe and effective healing strategies.
Integrative concepts that will be reviewed and discussed include The Three Stage Consensus Healing Model,
the anxiety feedback loop, ongoing vs. significant event trauma, types of anxiety including panic attacks, the
instinctive trauma response, The Triune Brain, hypervigilance, hypo-vigilance, the fight/flight response, freeze
and dissociation, anxiety and trauma triggers, therapeutic interventions, co-regulation and mirror neurons, self-
